Senior Sales Executive Job Purpose: Builds business by identifying and selling
prospects; maintaining relationships with customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
â B2B sales to large volume dealers; identify business opportunities by
prospecting and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and
analyzing sales options
â Identify customer requirements and present appropriately to close a
sale
â Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with
prospects; recommending solutions
â Maintain relationships with customers by providing support, information,
and solutions; researching and recommending new opportunities
â Make cold calls to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect
for new business
â Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on
industry trends, market activities and competitors
â Gather and research market and customer information
â Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
â Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization
standards
â Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational
workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;
benchmarking best practices; participating in professional societies
â Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
â Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events and
demonstrations
â Negotiate on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and
managers
â Advise customers on forthcoming product developments and special
promotions
â Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding
process that is largely dictated by the prospective customer
Skills/Qualifications:
â Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5-year experience in sale of solar
products, PV preferred.
â Ability to advance the division with proactive entrepreneurial
commitment and strategic orientation.
â Expertise in developing new accounts, strategic alliances and sales
channel partners evidenced by overall experience in sales.
â Track record of successfully achieving sales quotas in growth
organizations.
â Experience successfully working in a decentralized,
âstart-upâ environment is preferred, but not necessary.
â Willingness to attend training seminars as required.
â Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong
presentation skills with dynamic approach to sales.
â Demonstrated proficiency in the full MS Office productivity suite (e.g.,
Excel, Word, Power Point). Additional preference for ability to leverage a CRM
and/or ERP sales module for sales opportunity reporting and tracking.
â Must be detail oriented and have great organizational, interpersonal and
communication skills.
â Strong problem-solving/analytical and negotiation skills.
â Must have a proven track record in securing and managing accounts and
closing transactions.
â Knows how to build and maintain long term relationships.
